Feeling Green For Spring!

When I hear the word Spring I always think we're getting a little closer to SUMMER! Of course their are many reasons to love Spring in itself - like wearing bright colors (like green), showing some leg and enjoying a beautiful sunny day. 

I'm such a lover of the color green! I think I can thank Kermit the Frog and his song 

"It's not easy being green"  

But green's the color of Spring
And green can be cool and friendly-like
And green can be big like an ocean, or important
Like a mountain, or tall like a tree

Forever Young...

It's not easy being a girl sometimes. My hubby has it so easy. His nightly regimen consists of taking a 5 minute shower, putting on his boxers, brushing his teeth and jumping into bed. I on the other hand take at least 20 minute to wash my face, put on my potions and get ready for night night! Below is my daily nightly routine, keep in mind that 2 or 3 times a week I also add in other nightly miracle potions. The things women do to stay forever young!

Santa Monica Sunshine

How lucky are we to live in SUNNY Southern California! We definitely took advantage and headed to our favorite place, the beach! We made it to Santa Monica before the crowds arrived and enjoyed the Pier. 

We bumped into a couple celebrities who had the same idea. We saw Dennis Quaid enjoying his twins and Mark Dacascos from Iron Chef. I think this was Sophia's highlight of day as she loves Iron Chef America! I really thought about becoming a stalker and following them for a quick picture, but they were with their kids and I certainly wouldn't want some stranger psycho women taking pictures of me and my kids while we enjoyed our day. It was a great day and summer can't come fast enough!

I am sad to report that Daddy's shooting skills did not win a prize!

YUMMY! Silver Dollar Pancakes

This is a staple in our house on Sunday mornings! It's so easy and quick to do! Easy clean-up doesn't hurt either!

The Silver Dollar pancake pan is a MUST! We got ours a few years ago, but I know both Crate & Barrel and Bed Bath & Beyond carry them. Here is the final results! YUM!

Valentine Lunches

What a week!! I've had TWO sick munchkins at home this week. I had planned something so fun in celebration of Valentine's Day for the kids and well things didn't necessarily go as planned.

The idea was everyday starting February 1st they got a special message in their lunch-box. The first day as I picked Julian up after school, I could see him from a distance, he was headed straight for me. He came over hugged me hello and said "Mommy!! I had a surprise in my lunch-box today, it made me feel so happy!" He went on to tell me how he found a heart with a messages in his lunch-box. For the next few days both him and Sophia would come home and say they had found another message that would make them smile. Mission accomplished!

My final plan is to put a special Hallmark card with a yummy chocolate in their lunch-box tomorrow for our final LOVE day. Let's keep our fingers crossed that they actually make it to school tomorrow!

Julian had another great season! He enjoyed his team and we look forward to the next season. Our #2 player always knows how to have a good time!
